Exhibition- The Angel of Death and The Angels in White

This exhibition is dedicated to the angles in white- the doctors, nurses, and caretakers who dedicated their lives to save people during one of the darkest times in history. In order to show the opposite side of the heroic actions of doctors, the exhibition also focused on the actions of the “Angel of Death”, Josef Mengele. Mengele performed medical experiments on the prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration and death camp and focused primarily on the biology of twins. The Righteous Among the Nations, Adelaide Hautval, a French psychiatrist who was sent to Auschwitz as punishment, was requested to collaborate with Mengele in one of his experiments on twins. Despite knowing that it would put her life in danger, she refused to participate in an experiment that went against all she believed in.
