Exhibition- Holocaust Remembrance Day 2025
This year the 'Wiener Library for the study of the Nazi Era and the Holocaust' dedicates her main exhibition to the artist of Ghetto Theresienstadt. Ghetto Theresienstadt was used as a main propaganda tool for the Nazi regime. They presented the ghetto as a retirement place for the German Jewish elderly. But in realty Theresienstadt was used as a main site for deportation to other ghettos and death camps.
Despite the horrific living conditions in the ghetto, Theresienstadt had a thriving cultural life. This exhibition offers an insight into the lives of the artists in Theresienstadt during the war and aftermath.
